Saab's are front wheel drive with the front of the engine facing the firewall.....how can it have a T5?????..........as for Nissan, they have their own box...of some Jap brand.

Yep, different kinds. Even the Ford Windsor V8 T5 has different ratios and a longer input shaft length, compared to the 4L T5.

Because they are still the same box?

Difference between commodore boxes and falcon boxes are input shaft lengths, which are also different from those of a ford v8, and also different between the commodore v6 and v8. Uncertain on commodore ratios, however if you have a t5 housing you can swap any world class T5 gear set with another, but you have to use the whole set or else it won't work and if it does you will find your ratios all f**k up.

In other words, if for some reason you had a commodore t5 housing and you put an i6 ford t5 gear set in it, it would bolt up to the ford i6 bellhousing and straight onto a ford i6. Note there is absolutely no advantage in this, only advantages in ratio changes can be had if you are using behind a v8.
