What springs have you got in it?

If you want to lower it more get different springs and shocks let it be super lows or super super lows. Its trail and error finding that point between looking good and drive-ability.

Maybe leave it how it is and upgrade the 15s?

Regards.

you have to take into account the area you drive most in. is your driveway steep? do you drive over speed humps regularly in your area? had a guy come into my work today and he had his on king springs ultra-lows (super super lows) and it is the nicest looking set-up ive ever seen. as said above, its a trial and error thing between looks and drivability.

yea depends on ya tyre/wheel combo also. iv'e got superlows on the ltd. the backs good but fronts to high so going ultra. you might also need shorter shocks

ALSO, once you lower the car to supers or ultras you will need a camber kit, or you will chew through tires like toilet paper :P i would go with KMAC for those.

my el futura/fairmont has king lows all round, it sits 5mm above the SA lowest legal limit, which is 337mm from centre of the rim up to the lip of the wheel arch.

In my term "DUMP" means DUMPED! Slamed on its hole! Scrapage everywhere leaving me less than 50mm off the ground  a pic of my EL dumped on 17's 8-)

Image

That low lead me to this pic (sorry for the crappy night time phone pic)

Image

I wont learn, My car runs away when hearing the term "shops" or "speedbumps" im unable to clear any speedbump no matter how slow i go or try to go up it on a angle. And if you can be bothered and are stupid enuf like me... Get stickered, remove it, get stickered again, remove it again, get stickered again, remove it again and so on. Cause cops love cars that tuck rim/tyre

lowering can be a bit tricky, you need to get the right angle, maybe lows in the front, superlows in the rear? ..

But please don't get kings springs!!! they are s**t!! they are so bouncy and hard, lovell's are the best springs i've EVER had, they still keep the car smooth, and also they are a tiny bit lower than kings low, so with 15's they look great!

I'd rather NL springs than any types of kings..

Leticia.

if you go to pedders they can set up ur suspension custom .
i went 2 springs settings highrer in the rear than the front .
apart from looks this rake is so i can actually drive the car safely without uniz ect failing /binding or if i happen get air  the tailshaft will stay in its housing properly seriously ..
the lowest point of my car is the rear muffler which flatened abit is 10cm off the ground unloaded on 17s which believe it or not make it lower than the stock 15z.
with my 18z 40 series on it tucks nice tyre and passed nsw blue slip and was insured that way.
never srcubed or bottomed out if i could do it different i would get softer springs as the sports rider is a bit uncomfortable in traffic on sh it roads but put your your foot down and its 100%.
it took me abit to figure out i had to speed up for the bumpy bits.
so i guess that means i coulda saved like a grand and gone lovells and kyb.
po po dont harrass me at all ever even when i was p plater in a celica that was 6cm off the ground no front bar loud as sh it and canvas hangin out of the tyres.
they just pull me up say blow in this look at me licence and let me go
.

also if u go lower than 10cm you cant get a normal tow truck,
plus you wont fit a jack underneath
