I went to fit my xh snorkel i just bought to my ea today and noticed this great big silly plastic thing on my fan shround thats the entrance to the existing cai, should i try to chop it off or should i get a shroud off a eb or ed? if they are any different...i dont know, any help would be appreciated

I do not think the XH intake fits the EA, I think it only fits that later models

Ive noticed this on my EB as well. Once the original snorkel is removed, theres still a chunk of pipe which the old snorkel goes to. Id just remove it with a blade of some sort.

The EB Shroud is different to the EA one, and makes the job a little easier.

all you need is a sharp knife
cut it away to make the snorkel fit, and away you go sweet as a nut
