Hello everyone,

I am looking at swapping a better preformance engine into my 1998 ford festiva and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or knowledge on compatible engines to do this job.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thankyou

best off starting with a different car mate

the festiva's are a bit of a tin can, and a poorly made vehicle. A decent EF/EL Fairmont has a market value of $1300-$2000 these days, so by the time your finished spending a heap of money on the festiva, you could have just bought the fairmont which will be faster than a turbo'd festiva

Yeah i was thinking that. but thought if it was cheap enough that it would be a good little project for my first car. Thanks for the advice though, will look into it :)

these have mazda mechanical packages so i guess you be able to swap in some wort of larger capacity DOHC engine for more power (would be a nice little sleeper)
