I'm not sure on what Snort has done regarding their R&D, but no kits that they have sold have been fitted as yet.

I know Dan's is ready for him to pickup :P

And word on the grape vine is that they're going to do one to suit the 5.0

I think Geoff had a real early prototype of this kit on his EB/ED XR6 for ages.

I should get mine this weekend. Just need to organise time to fit it and get a tune done.

xfpaul has a similar setup. the only difference is the M90 is up right and it uses an air to air intercooler.
I bumped into him at the servo last Sunday and was he is planning to twin screw the lane.

I'm just curious to know whether this style charger would be better than say a centrifugal style charger such as the raptor? I'm to believe this style creates more low down torque and the centrifugal has more top end? My mate had a powerdyne on his vx ss crummydore and the thing went hard top end but I've also driven those supercharged 6 crummydores and it seemed more instant but died out top end... Would this be correct? I understand ones a 6 and the others an 8

A centri charger creates boost in a linear fashion against rpm. Max boost is at max rpm. Shav has a Dyno sheet in the water intercooled thread.

I get full boost almost instantly with my m112. Guys in the states are running 17ish psi and power doesn't drop off on their 4.6's so I don't think it would drop off on our motors. Lookup svt terminator mustangs.

I made 193rwkw at 5psi. The raptors are making around the same in their base model kits but at a few psi more. Raptors are easier to fit because the intake manifold doesn't have to come off but the snort kit is easy too. Just a bit more time consuming.

It's also easier to intercool a raptor unless you buy snorts water to air intercooled supercharger kit. I reckon intercooling is a must over 10psi.

Both kits have their merits.

Here are some graphs so you can compare boost response and power figures.

Shav's raptor kit - I think it was non intercooled at this point with a 2.5 inch exhaust. 194.1rwkw at 7.5ish psi.

Image

My kit non intercooled with a 3 inch exhaust. 193.8rwkw at 5.1 ish psi. We think there was a glitch with the boost sensor on the dyno on this run. The boost looks like it hits 5psi quickly then drop down 1psi then goes back up to 5psi but on the road it holds steady at 5psi from like 1500rpm all the way to redline.

Ah ok... Thanks for a detailed reply with dyno sheets to compare, makes it a bit easier to comprehend

Cheers
