hey guys, what is the hole in the side of the air intake pipe for on my ebxr8. mine was plugged and sealed by a previous owner but im curious as to what is was attached to or what it was for etc etc.

Yeah its been discussed in other topics. Apparently it was there to reduce "induction noise" Opinions vary but most people say that it served no real purpose. Ive removed it from mine.

Yeah I guess its the resonator, it serves 2 purposes, it reduces induction noise and is suppose to help with throttle response. For some reason it was said that you get more power by removing it so most of them are removed, but it wont give you anything.
