i had a look at that, all it says is a ford motorsport cast iron block, that could mean anything, for instance Ford Motorsport Injectors are made by Bosch e.t.c, its common knowledge that they are all chev 304 blocks hey, cause Ford pulled the pin on the 302, and holden dont make the holden V8 anymore, so they got to source it from somewhere, and chev still make the 304 blocks for the SUV's in America....

thats what i got back!

Tell him to stick his "it's common knowledge" up his a**. Provide some real proof they're using chev blocks.

A ford motorsport block means exactly that - it was made by FMS.

Ford pulled the pin on the 302? Why can i order a brand new crate engine from FMS then?

Nahh you are not losing, he is a tossa, he is the one to have to prove that Ford use a Chev block, because he cant he will tell you anything to get out of paying up!

Why do you think he loves Holdens? Basically because he is a tossa like the rest of them.

the block that the fords use is a SVO sportsman R block, based on the windsor design but alot stronger.
The standard 5.0 litre block wouldn't last 2 mins in a race car.
SVO also make a Sportsman block which is slightly below the R block in strength, this is what many engine builders use when building high horsepower(over 500) 5.0L engines.

There's an easy way to win.

Go to the next local round of the V8 Supercars. Tell this guy you'll give him $200 if you loose, but if you win, he has to pay for the whole day, food, fuel and a jacket from your favorite team.

Then get pitt passes and just ask all the Holden teams what block the Ford teams run. They'll all say "uh.. 5 litre Ford SVO block.. why?"

A bit off topic but if you want proof that your average holden fan is an A grade self entertainer check out forums.justcommodores.com.au/. Go to their motorsport section and read the winging about Jason Bright switching back to Ford. They then bag the s**t out off Amrose for being an arrogant f**k. All this from the same people who worship Skaife for gods sake. Any way this site is a cheap ripoff of our much loved ford mods site and proves one thing.
God invented holdens to keep d***head out of Fords.
God invented s**t. Holden put wheels on it. ha ha ha

It's an SVO motorsport block, cast in limited numbers by Ford Motorsport.

Just like for Nascar, they still cast a specialist block for that too.

What s**t is this guy spinning?

Sit and spin I say.

Also the front suspension on the Falcon is not the SLALS design on the Falcon, but closer in concept to that on the Kingswood. Both Ford and Holden aere required to have the same overall design as per the project blueprint specs.

Cheers,

He took a few rolls of cotton, 3 months worth of food, a GPS, Gandalf and a few hobbits, some elf with funny ears, a wookie, the millenium falcon, a chick to kiss that he would later find out was his sister and the force.

It will be the most epic journey ever to be told, the journey to the centre of the forums, where only the oldest and dustiest threads lay in wait, in wait for someone to dredge them back up to the surface.

Coming to a cinema near you.
