Just bought a 5spd factory manual EF Futura.

The brakes lights aren't working and blow the fuse every time you replace it and push the brake pedal. I know the short could be in a million places, was just wondering if there are any common places or if its common for the brake light switch to short out?

Hi,

Trailer socket if you have one is the place to start. Next step is take out all 3 globes. Replace one at a time if they all look OK ( try the brake pedal without globes ) Globes can sometimes go short. After these checks, look for a wire rubbed through.
