The law was stupid, should of been power to weight in the first place .so if they lift the ban in NSW does mean I can turbo my xr6 and make 220 rwkw and be legal to drive ?

No. 220 rwkw would be within the ballpark of 280-300 at the flywheel. You would not get a compliance plate engineered at that power to weight level (300 / 1.5 = 200 kw per tonne).

Even so it seems to be apllying to new cars that get a manufacturers compliance plate.

So this means the max you could gun for in a new falcon at a tare mass of 1.7 tonnes is 221 kw.

you confuse me?

a falcon xr6/8 comes in at 1850 odd kg on a weigh bridge and the engine power advertised at 220 engine kw

do the math thats closer to 240 kw and thats ba xr6t?

There's still the 6, LPG6, 6T, and SC V8 options available.

The 4T is aimed at all the fleets (previous big falcon buyers) that have gone to a "no 6-cyl" rule.

still gonna cost an arm and leg to get the 6t and sc 8

4T/6 cylinder are priced the same, 6T and SC8s are a few thousand more. No upmarket in prices...with the help of 4T sales, they might improve other parts of the 6 cylinder which may make it more fuel efficient. I mean the 6 cylinder LPi has great economy, more power than the unleaded variety, but for some reason it got really bad sales (I mean you do lose a fair bit of boot space from factory).

So my TE50 is lighter than your box car with a full tank of fuel? 1650kg.

I believe my fairmont weighs ~1600kg, and I think the AU's were lighter all round.

my car supposed to weigh 1450kg, only thing extra to the car at the time of weigh in was power windows, au engine and turbo kit, all other extras were removed, eg no spare no subwoofer box, minimum fuel it cam up with 1620kg as a manual..
i guess its now heavier as an auto???

i think the factory quoted weights are dry weights, no fuel, coolants and oils..

(i know digging up old thread but been away)

because once you get out of town and i have driven all over our lovely country the servos dont have lpg.... my mums work got a dedicated lpg bf rtv and i brought a stock as a rock petrol bf ute and i could easily get 300-400 ks more out of mine over the rtv and they where only $10 different filling them up
