There seems to be alot of AU and BA utes running dedicated gas which doesn't seem too bad as I prefer to run just one fuel type rather than a dual fuel system.
Now onto the questions...
Are the dedicated I6 engines different to the standard petrol I6? If so what is different?
Also, Is it a problem free system or are there certain things to look out for when buying a dedicated gas Falcon?

Don't buy a factory gas falcon.

Converters cost s**t loads and are a common failure

Yep, they are ok, the converters aren't they're strong point, but still work well.
If you're really worried, when the converter goes, fit direct mount gas injection and respective converter, increase in economy and power.

Yes along with a stand alone LPG ECU to run it. May as well just buy a petrol falcon and convert it.

The you can at least fit liquid injection and make more power then it does on petrol.
