I have a 97 el falcon running on gas, accredited workshop fitted, tempreture gauge hardly moves unless in the hills then only just above the cold marker, heater only gets warm,

Question, Is there a special thermostat for an engine running on gas?

Have just replaced thermostat with genuine ford unit, had a run around the block and temp. gauge rose to normal running temp. the unit I took out looks like a high flow unit.( wonder why they changed it in the first place,? Over heating?? )Buggar Why was I born a worrier!!!!
