An XC with a 302 just had a BW diff with drum brakes.
The mags that the 302 Fairmonts had were alloy, 6 x 14, with chrome plastic dome like centre caps.

These same wheels were used on XD's as well.

The radiator is a crossflow type one.

If it was a Fairmont it would probably have had hubcaps not alloys. Google XC fairmont hubcaps and you'll see those.
If it was a GXL it would have had the alloy wheels.

Diff should have been a disc brake 2.92:1 78 series Borgy the same as an XB.

A mate of mine had an XC Fairmont wagon, was a 302, C4, and drum braked 75 series 2.92 single legger.....had a/c and p/s, chrome roof rack.....no sports dash.....he was 2nd owner of it....and it had those alloy wheels on it......I have them now, all 5 of them.
