Ride: AU XR8 220 Manual

I was hoping to get some advcie from you all. I am considering turning my manual AU xr8 s3 into a track only car. I have wanted a track car for a long long time ever since my first V8 race day. Mine has modded brakes (FG) and suspenson (koni) plus exhaust and tune etc.

Firstly, how is the track scen in Victoria? The car will most likely be unriegistered and trailored but i dont really want to go down the cage path at this stage.

I am not looking for compeditive racing just timed sprints and hillclimbs against the stopwatch.

What tracks offer sprint racing in Vic or test and tune days? Are there many hill climb events?

What must the car have to be able to race? Any big dos/donts? Do i need a cams logbook or licence to race at all?

Is it limiting not havings cams licences and logbooks etc?

How will the T5 cope with track duties? I have seen that the saloon car series and many on my105 use them.

I will be doing s much eight reduction as possible, maybe consider swapping to live axle?

Sorry for all the questions but i welcome your opinions.
