My daughter has just bought first car 1996 EF FAlcon sedan and has requested the cassette player (too old skool) be removed to install CD player, how is this done and do i need a special tool?

Radio is attached with security Torx screws (Torx bit with a hole in the centre).

If you don't have these, you can knock out the cetre pin and use a torx bit. Refit using a Philips head 5mm dash panel screw.

You can buy plug in wiring harness adapters at Supercheap, Autobarn and repco. Saves worrying about rewiring also.

You need two - One from Ford EF/EL to ISO
then one from ISO to whatever your head unit is. Some Head units are already ISO
