Just wondering if to set the base idle on the Ef falcon, does it need to be in diagnostic mode?
It seems to hold revs a bit since I put a j3 chip in it.
It's not the original ecu but it's been programmed for a manual xr6.
Ive changed all the manifold gaskets also.
It also seems heavier in fuel since its been chipped.
Has anyone who has j3 chipped their car found this?
Cheers

Have you followed the J3 Chip Installation Instructions?

There is no way it should be using more fuel under the same driving conditions - maybe your driving was a little different this tank.

I do about 100kms a day. About 60kms open rd and 40kms through town.
Ive changed all the gaskets for the inlet manifold, reset the ecu and also the cat has been replaced recently.
With a basic tune should it be ok to use 95 octane?
Is there any fuel in particular? I believe it was only a basic tune for ef xr6 manual

PM me your order number so I can check what tune is on it.

You may want to look at / replace the o2 sensor if its not going into closed loop.

Cheers,
Jason
