Just wondering if anyone on here is Meteor enthusiast? After having the carby on mine reconditioned I replaced it the other day but have now run into a couple of problems.
1. The car won't idle, as soon as you push the choke in or take your foot off the pedal it instantly dies. It was doing this before the carby reconditioning, that's partly why I had it done. Any thoughts? Could it be electrical or in the ignition system?
2. It won't draw fuel through from the tank. I tested the pump by "simulating" a fuel tank with a small bottle of fuel that I placed the suction and return lines into. I have tried blowing compressed air back through the supply line to the tank and even tried pressurizing the tank through the filler cap, no effect. Any ideas? Where in the tank is the pickup? does it have a one-way valve? Can they block up?
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does it have a solenoid for the idle circuit? check there is 12v for it.
