ok. update on the M7 . . . . .....

headlining as per AU style with added lights behind sunvisors, added footwell lights & rear console light. have fitted the alloy wheel i found on Fb. also fitted a territory snorkel bought some spare parts for the smartbar. rear seat drivers side was replaced with another & also has the factory centre armrest [now to find a AU fairmont rear seat..... ] with a better looking seatbelt. has had some cheap kmart seat covers fitted & will later fit some better ones. cargo area was returned back to original for rwc & a AU cargo blind was scourced & fitted before the rwc.

Image

soon i hope to have an almost complete BA/BF cargo blind fitted

Image

car has passed with only four small hiccups & is now waiting fore rego on monday :D :D :D

mechanic was impressed with how clean the car was ........... didn't mention how many times i cleaned the interior

current look re rwc

Image

Image

Image

original look when bought - if you look closely at the passenger airbag & just above the centre air vents [left & right] you will see some 'marks' which were from the [i presume?] car yard clean it recieved [they stood out alot more in real life]. these marks can now no longer be seen [YAY!].

Image

one thing that wasn't noticed by anyone  was i changed the original drivers side taillight with another undamaged unit i had. i didn't notice when i originally swapped it ... but when i changed the indicator globe i noticed a problem  :x :? :| .... the taillight would NOT fit into it's two fixed mounting points [the metal locator on the bottom right & the plastic locator on mid left] which had me stumped  .. original would fit with no problems & new would not. . _ turns out the car had been hit sometime in it's life & when who ever it was fixed it, the rear of the quarter finished approx 5mm further out  . taillight has been heated & is currently being held down by two ocker straps [for a cupla days] to see if it will hold the 'new' shape

so over all .. all good

Hey Mad,no haven't done but you could make the recess with MDF and apoxy it in on the back-just won't be covered with vynal but switch should cover it nice anyway.

not trying ta pick on ya johhnyHCF ... BUT, don't need the mdf as there is a backing there [dash base]. the left switch currently covers the 'hole' that was cut into the dash. there is maybe 5mm vinyl overlap behind the switch, however i want it to look like the righthand switch. so NO MDF at ALL :!:

i can either use it or ..... sell it & wait for a BA SmartBar

to use i can either change frontend sheetmetal to AU [which i can do as i prefer the AU XR6/8 headlights] OR fit 'fillers' where needed around the bumper [such as between the bumper & lights/grille etc]

Thoughts anyone ?

so after driving for awhile & hooking up the car trailer to the wagooon .....

currently thinking of changing rear springs due to spring sag & weight in back of wagooon plus weight of a car trailer..... have my eye on some secondhand FG one ton ute springs.

Image

pro's & cons??

currently the wagooon has the 'standard' 65 ltr usable doughnut lpg tank, how ever i want to upgrade to the larger lpg tanks used on the lpg only wagooons [as per FAWD]. which also means a custom petrol tank [again as per FAWD]. not sure if currently fitted reece towbar will fit with bigger lpg tank?. currenly have a BF lpg wagooon as a parts car

yes i know the wagooon will have a 'stiffer' ride to to the springs.
