Will all BA / BF sedan roof linings fit in a BA MKII XR6 sedan without modification? Meaning if I got one from a BF Fairlane, or a Fairmont Ghia for example... Are there any physical differences besides the sunglasses holder?

means i don't know re Fairlane/Ghia as i'm unsure if there is a wheelbase change as per earlier models. can put any normal sedan lining into other half's Fairmont, which i have.

Ok so someone feel free to correct me here, but from the research I've done, the roof shape is the same across the entire platform of BA / BF sedans, but the Fairlane (and possibly Ghia) have extra map lights in the front (similar looking to the rear pillar ones).

So it look likes I'm now hunting for a Fairmont.

as mentioned ... pretty sure as you said Fairlane/LTD have the extra "COURTESY LIGHTS" behind the sunvisors .... as mine does, but does not turn on when the doors are opened [only meant to work when you turn em on]. you would have to modify the wiring to do that. Fairmont may/may not have the lights at the front. if need be it's easy to modify head lining so you can fit em.

Yeah I don't want the extra lights, hence wanting to go for Fairmont.

Did you do the fabric on that yourself? If so, bravo

Apparently ultra strength ados spray contact adhesive works, but on the attempt I did on the EF it went all soggy and discoloured... Maybe I used too much

Don't suppose anyone would know if the futura came with the sunglasses holder as standard, or was it just fairmont / fairlane?

Futura - no

Fairmont/Fairlane/LTD - believe so

may also be available as an option ?

my Futura has full elec windows & rear interior lights which i have not seen on too many others, & does not have the sunglasses holder. i fitted the AU sunglasses holder because i have spares of em & no AU  .
