Hi Guys
I have a 2006 BF Fairlane and got a really strange issue with the traction control. The light comes on within seconds on starting the car and doesn't turn off. I've replaced all 4 ABS sensors, had the car wheel aligned several times. Calibrated and replaced the steering angle sensor and yaw sensor. Nothing solves it. Today I plugged in my OBD2 scan tool and left it plugged it and the light has stayed off. Took the scan tool out and the light immediately turned on. I'm really confused and rego is just around the corner. I need help |

What fault codes does the scanner say it has?

No fault codes, that's what makes it so difficult to diagnose.

Plug in the tool when the lights on and give it scan maybe i use a cheapie elm327 and forscan on the laptop and always seems to do well Off the topic has the car dropped a ball joint ever? Reason for asking is ive heard of them dropping out the wheel pushes back and stretches the wiring to the abs sensor.

I've used 3 different versions of the elm327 using Forscan as the app.
I've also used another all in one scantool and it also shows no fault codes. As for the ball joint question, not to my knowledge. Everything was working extremely well and than bang this just started. |

This post is more than 2 years old suggest start your own post
Scan for any fault codes in abs system Reset stop light switch by removing then pull on the plunger of switch hold brake pedal down refit switch and pull brake pedal back to rest position Do same if you have 2 switches on brake pedal (cruise control switch) or clutch switch if manual |
