I am no mechanic but i do wanna kno...
Is it possible to convert an EB 4L, 4sp Auto...into a 5L EB? (basically is it possible to drop an EB 5L in there rather and what changes)
What conversion will i need to make i know that the Diff is one of them???
Would there be much increase in power/performance?
And if so is it even worth doing or waste of time and money?

help me people!!! haha

Its not really worth it unless ur going to start chasing big power figures.

There are some other 4L -> 5L conversion threads kicking around. Perhaps check them out.

You dont need to change the diff. But you are looking at ECU, Trans computer, engine loom, ecu loom, dash loom and probably more.

there is 1 good reason to change to a bent8 THE SOUND!!!!
but power wise you could spend a couple of grand on the 6 and get
much more power than the std 8

You can get a lot out of a 4.0L. I watched a red EB with a JMM dev5 kit pull consistent 13 second runs at Heathcote. I was pretty impressed by that.
The amount of money you'd spend doing a conversion would be almost like buying another S/H car. Maybe just buy a 5.0L car and trade in the 4.0L and save a huge amount of money?

it will probably be cheaper (and easier) to buy a EBV8

yeh i know i'd probly be cheaper but my cars already got the full bodykit, some mags and like big system in there!!! so was more avoiding gettin another car.
And plus i think the heads cracked on the 4L at the moment so didnt know whether to convert it while it's...well half out haha

You should take the kit, mags and any mods you've done to the car off it and put them on your next car. You'll only get a little bit more money for a modded car than a standard one anyway
