Hi guys,

Newbie here

I did a search, but couldn't find a wiring diagram for an EL Falcon. Just trying to install an aftermarket head unit in my old mans EL.

Any tips on removing the stock stereo would be much appreciated too.

Hey guys, I just checked out that doco, and unless I've gone insane, I can't find the description for this single black wire that I've got plugging into the back of my NL Fairlane deck. It's not the stacker as far as I know, it's not the aerial... any ideas?

how thick is this single black wire, how big is the plug on the end of it?

It's reasonably thin, and the plug is the female end of a wire terminal, with plastic casing around it.

Does it attach to the case? Sounds like the ground from your description.

Stereo is in, and yes it was the ground! Makes sense that it would be

Well what a pain in the a*** that stereo was! lol Thank god for fordmods for having the wiring diagram, only a couple of wires were different colours but was simple to figure out. Cheers guys!

Oh by the way, the 'system remote control' wire coming from my pioneer deck, it said that can be used for the auto aerial, so i connected it and it works sweet. But I usually use that wire for the amp when i connect that up, any idea what I'd use instead

Or will I just have to have no auto aerial?
