I have had 460's, 429's, Clevo's and Windsors. Clevo's hands down every day.

bang for buck, the cleveland. it was designed to be a race engine in the states. australia is also the best place in the world to get aftermarket bits due to the yanks only using them for 3 years, but imo nothing sounds better than a tough carbed winsor

ive only had clevelands and the only one i killed had about 250000 km on it
i hit good revs and have missed gears and hit friggen huge revs - not killed one that i built
ive had 8.5 and 9.5 compression all with 4v valves and bored 40 thou
my next will be about 10.5 comp , injected
higher compression sounds good on the ears - more ting ting then thud thud
i would go clevo as they are reliable at revs

dunno about elsewhere, but the local burnout comp champ runs a clevo in his EL

it's getting to the point where if he's running his EL at a comp, a lot of the more professional competitors dont bother turning up

In a light body.....Escort etc...
