2006 Unique Cars Muscle Car Nationals
The nation's rarest and most desirable performance cars will power their way to Australia 's Home of Motorsport, Calder Park Raceway next Easter for the country's biggest gathering of factory musclecars at the Musclecar Nationals.

The four-day celebration of horsepower and style will serve up a veritable feast of factory-built high-performance specials, including Mustangs, Camaros, Monaros, Falcon GTs, Torana XU-1s and Charger R/Ts, along with countless other offerings from General Motors, Ford and Chrysler, as well as the 2006 National's featured marque, Shelby.

To kick the inaugural Musclecar Nationals off with a nuclear bomb-sized bang, fans will be the big winners, with Calder Park chairman Bob Jane offering the chance to win an incredible and unrivalled range of prizes simply by purchasing an admission ticket.

Headlining these sensational prizes are a road registered, new-generation Holden Monaro, created as a modern interpretation of Bob Jane's legendary Monaro 350 race car – complete with Bob Jane Orange paintwork, and a road-going replica of Bob's 1965 Mustang race car, the vehicle that rolled spectacularly at Sydney's Katoomba raceway in 1965.

The prizes don't end there. Also on offer are a number of brand new V8 Chevrolet crate engines, along with a range of other great prizes such as electrical goods.

That's not all. Also appearing will be some of Australia 's most famous and powerful competition musclecars, including Bob Jane's legendary ZL-1 Camaro. There will be plenty of trackside action too, with ‘60s and ‘70s musclecars battling it out on Calder Park 's iconic National Circuit and drag strip, plus fiercely-contested burnout and dyno competitions.

Fans and entrants will also be treated to a Show ‘n' Shine where Australia 's most immaculately-prepared musclecars will be displayed, and the chance to cruise the daunting high-banked Thunderdome.

If you're looking to buy or sell a musclecar there'll be plenty on offer at the Australian Musclecar Nationals, with a ‘Show and Sell' display area, and a special classic car auction.

It doesn't end there. Autograph hunters can track down the signatures of musclecar's and racing's legendary men, and ride the National Circuit in specially-prepared musclecars.

There will also be plenty of glamour too, with Australia 's sexiest girls battling out the prestigious Miss Musclecar Nationals competition.

Families haven't been forgotten either, with kids' amusements provided, as well as factory direct shopping tours and local winery tours available for those people who do not share their partner's passion for speed.
