While on holiday in SA I hired a new BA fairlaine and popped the hood to have a look. I noticed an 8G wire which goes direct from the battery to (I assume) the starter motor. Although the wire is protected for most of its journey by some black shrouding, there is a point where is passes below the power steering hoses and rests on the cross member.
My concern is that after time the insulation could wear through and cause a direct short to ground. The reason for an inline fuse when wiring up an amp. Has anyone else noticed this? |

Has anyone else noticed this? as said above, just about every falcon is like that, when i had my AU2, the starter wire used to sit in the steering rack ... |
