Well in the owners manual it says it does not support burnt dvd discs, yet that was almost all I ever played in it. I am a typical male, play before reading the manual LOL

Holy s**t, that's the exact same DVD unit we have!!
The manual FM tuning sucks a bit though. But it plays burnt DVD's fine. That all we own! 
Just puttin in a good word that its a good 1st in-car player 
EDIT: Actually, while I have someone who might know, Ghiawar, could you get your face to say anything other than AUX? Thats all ours will say!!

i found with making "backup" DVD's its good to put them on decent discs and burn them at no more than 4x. 8x is too tempermental (locks up going from chapter - chapter) and seeking is random and slow.

My burner only burns at 4 speed, and I have never had a problem playing burnt discs on the unit.
Whenever I am playing a dvd, aux is all that comes up on the display amber, because all the other relevant info comes up on the screen.
