i just swapped over from single spinner (ed 3.08? auto) to T5 manual and a 3.27 LSD (abs) and my speedo is whacked, its faster but not that much faster..!! reads 100 at about 70 i think

does anyone know what and where the gearing i need for the speedo would be, cant i just pull it outta another car, (the lsd came from a ed fairmont and the T5 from an EF.)

is there a ford calculator anyone knows of?

i normally just phone ford spare parts tell them the tyre size, diff ratio and what gearbox and they can tell you what gear you need . they are normally fairly cheap so you can order one while your on the phone to them.

We use to have that speedo calibration tool somewhere and now it's goone. You just need new speedo gear, cost max $10 and I am pretty sure you need a light brown one.

I've got a brown one in the shed that I haven't used.. I thought it was for 3.08 but I can't remember now. Ford gave me the wrong one which is why I have it. Make SURE you get the right one. It's a b**ch to change 3x.

If you can hold out for another day, the speedo Calculator and the rest of the docs will be up Monday Night (Unless The doco table isnt there, then it could take a couple more days).....

cool thanks xyphoid,

it depends what gear im in too , its weird, 5th seems very similar to normal, but top end 3rd and 4th seem to be accelereating heaps more than the car..

the cars definitly quicker and lower and more manual than it was so maybe i am going that bit faster than i think...

god bless my fkn radar detector and WA for allowing em, ill just roll real slow though any alarms for a coupla days.!
