couple questions here. first, did the el xr drivers seat have any electronic controls? second, is there a difference between ef/el xr6/8 seats aparts from colour? cuz i saw an elxr8 the other day and the seats were f**k huge! so is there a difference? cheers!

as for electrics, no, the EL XR had none in the seats. for the different seats - no idea i'm afraid!

All EL XR seats are the same - they have more bolstering than standard gli, futura, fairmont, ghia, fairlane seats. They are very comfortable :)

but are ef xr seats smaller than the el's?

Nup - they're exactly the same - just the covers are different AFAIK.

The EF XXR covers are all a kind of a*** fabric (hard to explain), whereas the EL XR covers have velour on the side (from memory).

It's mainly the colour that is noticeable obviously - EF XR havign a purple theme to them, where as the EL XR are more charcoal (grey and black theme).

ELs also had two way lumbar supports or something (or wasn't that carried over into the XRs?) but that shouldn't interfere with the mounting arrangement at the bottom.
