as of yesterday the C4 wont go into 3rd below 80K's per hour, and it takes a while to drop in, just goes 1st 2nd neutral, then jumps to 3rd slowly,,,

at light wont droop back to first, but when it does, it wont grab 3rd agaain,,,,


really noisy kinga grinding while its in first.

any idea's?
checked vacumm line, its fine.
fluid is fine now, didnt slove problem,,, but was extremely low before.

have u done an auto service on it lately? did the oil have a burnt smell to it?

oil was fine, but low,, clutches are all fine, vacumm modulator is connected properly, governer is gone, but has been for a while,, this is something else?

dude it really does sound like the box is on it's way out.
you shouldn't run auto's low on oil at all, so maybe you've stuffed something.
did it stuff up the time u filled it up, if so, i would have to say the box is flogged.

just a silly thought, you are checking the oil when the engine is running???
another thing you could check is your kick down cable, but I don't think it would be that.

hes solved the problem now anyways - 302 w/ C4 for $300 :wink: so the ld box aint an issue no longer! :P
