Sorry if this has been covered in another section
I have just installed a trip computer into my car this afternoon. Everything works except, when I turn the engine to Acc and the trip computer starts beeping until I press reset

Also when I connected the fuel sender wire to the dash loom it said that I had ran out of fuel, so I wired the fuel sender up to my gas sender and it works, however i get 300-350Km per tank of gas, but the trip comp is saying I have 540 odd km until empty

Has any else done this mod and point me in the right direction to rectify the situation?

Thanks Adam

hi
i fitted one to my ea..
there is a tech doco on the install ...
it all works fine on mine but i only get about 440 kms out of a tank but when i fill it up it reads 550kms..
as the tank gets down to the last 150 kms its pretty accurate .
i think it might go on your avarage kms per litre...??

the trip comp will beep when the fuel gets down to or under 80 kms remainding.
it will also beep when you leave your headlights on..

does it still beep now your fuel guage is conected..

I used the tech doco from the forum, thanks heaps, also coverted it to a blue light on the background!

Pin 3 on the cluster loom wasn't brown so I connected it to the brown wire which was located in Pin #2 on the cluster loom

Could this be the problem?
In that the trip comp thinks that the car light are still on!
