I have just finnished replacing my throttle body & injectors, but the thing is y'know when you finnish you're chors and it bout 3am and you just start it anyway, just for piece of mind!, It started instantly but still had that dreaded MISS off idle (with lots of throttle of a***) so I had a better look when I got up today and noticed the MAFS plug was not connected, but after I connected it the car ran no differently I still have'nt checked the voltages but usually if the mafs is not connected doesn't the car idle rough as guts? does this sound like a faulty maf sensor??

Yeah if the MAF is disconnected the engine does run rough and doesn't have any real power, basically running pig rich. If it made no difference plugging in the MAF then yeah sounds like a dead MAF. Probably worth resetting the EEC and see if that helps, and maybe clean the MAF wires although a dirty MAF normally runs lean.
