I have a dual fuel EF Falcon and the gas system is not working, i want to take the gas out and make the vehicle petrol only. What do i need to do to change over to just petrol only.
The vehicle has been running rough and had a few different mechanics say it was differents things causing it, but with no straight answer, is there anything i can check or do to try and fix or sort out problem

For the savings i think you're crazy, people are busting their nuts to get their cars on LPG these days.

If i were you i'd be fixing the LPG.
Give us an idea of what it's doing on lpg and petrol and we can give you some advice.

The vehicle runs fine on lpg until you brake or take foot off accelerator and the vehicle nearly stalls or does stall. The reason i got them to disconnect the gas so we could not run on it was the first problem i spoke about and the second is while running on petrol the stop solernoid isn't turning off.
I would like to keep the gas but am unsure of what to do, the last time i took it to our gas bloke he said that the tank is out of date, how hard is it to get it certified again. The mechanic that reconnected the gas for us after we bought the vehicle didn't say anything about the tank being out of the certification date.
What can i do???

you should be able to get it all sorted for a few hundred.
I was just quoted $165 for a tank test. Probably needs a new converter at about $200

How old is the system? I would be getting the tank retested & getting a new system so you can claim ur 2 grand rebate, thats wat i did. The new ones are so much better!

I like ur attitude smokey.

I heard it was $250 to test in qld but not sure.

The el we just bought is straight gas. It died in the middle of nowhere for no apparent reason and left a freezing breast feeding mother for 7 hours before help arrived. Although we had that experience we still want to find out what went wrong and stay wid gas.

Might just be the coil or dizzy in our case.

Cheers
