Technically you can rip it out, but normally the imobilser part is a wire cut in 2 and real across it, you need to find this point or points and join the wire back together.

all in all a pretty easy job, just pending on the intsall can be a long pain in the a** job.

i dont think it would be worth postage to send it from sydney to adelaide.

Ours stopped working about 8 years ago so just turned it off by the main control box thing under the bonnet.

he wants it out becoause he previous owner ran the cabling through the clutch cable hole... the car now being a manual that hole becomes kind of needed lol... so he wants to remove it to safe the effort of rejoining everything (cough *lazy bastard* cough)

oh okay then.

I say dont go for the conservative removal process.
Any alarm cable = Pull and rip out.

lol, the reason is true that MitchG911 stated... also cos it was playing up, and I wanna install a new one.. I found the ignition wires, and joined together and wallah... then I ripped the rest out... still gotta take all the connectors and s**t out.. but yeah.. no alarm for me.. now just need a new one....

Cheers

PS - THanks for the input!
