The coversion is finished... and we did fine without seperating the box.. don't know why you'd bother. Jaysen brough a clutch aligning tool, and all went well... all thats left is the resistor, and my car will idle fine (until I get manual ECU)...

Cheers

Well, Ive been spending so much time hooning around haven't really posted up the results.. lol.

The box is AWESOME!!! hehehe... the resistor worked wonders... sits at a nice <700RPM. Except for the 7K ohm... the d**k at d**k smith had no idea on what resistors were, and I couldn't find it, so I got a 6k8 and a 220R. I used electrincal tape all round the plug, and it looks neat.

As for the box - changes gears nicely... after driving it around gotta adjust the clutch more.. I gotta stand on the clutch to get it not to crunch going into reverse. And it doesn't always WANT to go into third.. you gotta slam it in there... which you have to do when going through gears

For anyone wanting to do this conversion.... what are you waiting for?????? AWESOME!!!! I underestimated people, when they said a big power increase noticeable, better take off... what they really mean is A HEAP AND A HEAP BETTER TAKE OFF!! how's that? lol

Thanks heaps again for the help Jaysen, very much appreciated!!! And also Dan (ChoCo) was MUCHLY useful with his HUGE tool collection (compared to mine). And Drone... well for been there .(kidding, did a great job helping out!)

Anyway, get manual if you have auto, and enjoy having to drive, and not just steer as quoted from some other thread.

Cheers

Good to hear it all went well. I would've done a lot more if I had more time (and wasn't wearing half-decent clothes), perhaps had it finished that night but ah well, all good now I read. :P
