Try using a little less right foot! :)

Seriously, if the car is stock, concider, tuneup including timing, plugs leads, air filter, clean injectors etc, and have the O2 sensor checked out, also tyre pressures.

mines an auii vct fairmont, im lucky to get 450 out of a tank, normally 400ish sydney city driving. up the coast i got almost 880 km. that wasnt a bad run!

but i almost cry when it uses 65L in 400 km. it hurts the pocket too much.. any ideas?

once again i did another trip to see how i would go, from newcastle to sydney and back to north of newcastle, about a 600km round trip i used 3/4 of a tank, and i was down to 8.2l/100km at one point in time, bloody peak hour traffic stuffed me up and i went back up to 9.6!

oh and thats on caltex vortex, justthe regular stuff, not vortex 98

and this week im on regular unleaded and i have completed bout 400 to half a tank, this includes city driving too

u guys need to get off it a bit :P get some of the lead outta u feet!

btw,i dont know how much extractors, zorst k&n and snorkel would improve my figures over standard, as i never did any trips while it was standard!

NEWS!! The car's computer said I could get 770km of highway travel from one tank of regular unleaded petrol, based on Albury to Melbourne run two weeks ago. Although, car can use a bit more fuel on a trip to the Grampians, Mount Gambier, because of the hills and small hamlets on the way (ie change of speed limits).

Yeah my EL 4.0L gets about 430-450 and thats pushing it hard everytime i get a green light :P i bet if i reved her a lil less and drive like a civilized p***y driver then i'd get at least 550kms out of her, but 450 kms per tank is a great prize just to show off the power of my Falcon :D im actually not sure how big the tank is, im guessing its like 60ltr

68L tank, should hold around thde 70ish mark thou considering you can fill the neck n not all pumps appear to be THAT accurate.

Ride: '97 EL XR6

Location: Cairns

My EB2 S with minor mods (filter and exhaust) gave me 500-550km around town and 650-700 with a little h/way travel.

My BA XR6 ran at 18-21km/litre around town and 9.1 on and avg h/way trip.

And EL XR6 is doing 350km in town and 500km with h/way travel.

All 3 cars run on premium only. Thank god that it still only cost 96.9/litre to buy.
