Heatseeker,

Very nice ride!

Keep up the good work. Have you got pics of the whole eng bay and the interior?

Chris

Well i got a ok shot of my rear seats and a couple more of the engine, I haven't got any interior snaps on my digital camra - Plus im still deciding how to put my gauges and Cd player in ect, Right now i have 3 gauges in the space where the factory tape deck would go and my cd player has been mounted where the ash tray is, it all just needs to be tied up a little bit and shes good to go.

Well as tempting as forced induction is, and the power gain that comes with it, im fairly old school when it comes down to the crunch, not that im against forced induction, but everyone esle goes down that track and just bolts a turbo on ect, I like the idea of Share Cubic Inches and the 205 block holds her own well, she rev's hard and couldn't care less about how hot she gets, unlike a turbo on a 40 degree day, i wont be losing any proformance, as i wont have to worry about compressing that air.

I would like to either toss on twin downdrafts (Not sidedrafts) or maybe a 600 Holley doubler pumper, as i already have the adaptor plate, over all she is a good preformer for an old outdated NA, fast becoming a relic, but she will asways have my repsect, alot of old cars always will

Forget the 600 Holley... WAY WAY WAY too big for a 2.0L!!! A 390-465 is all I'd run. I had a 350 Holley on my own 2.0L Mk1 Ezzy, I had the powervalve circuit modified to suit. In the end it worked really well, punched out 88rwhp with a std reground cam and busted rings.

I really miss my old Escort, good to see people out there still enjoying them!! :)

Looks like the standard pinto intake manifold which is probably the best flowing thing that this engine was equipped with from the factory.

Keep good care of this car. There are less and less of them now. I wish I still had my 2L mk1 panno :(
