hey guys

picked up a EL fairmont today for $500 guy hocked it in at a pawn shop and did a running with the cash friend that works there rang me and asked if i wanted to buy it as they legaly own the car as he did not meet agreements with the loan, went to motor reg first and checked it all sound signed over no worries. ( who the hell pawns their car in for 500???????? )

Well now to the car

its a Jul 98 Fairmont and if im right last really on the last run for EL's

has a few mods done to it already
Pacemaker 6677 extractors
Home made exhaust ( ugly as hell )
NL Ghia Rims
NL Ghia fog lights
Full stereo amps subs etc
inside lights changed to blue
NL cluster, says 260ks on it but not sure how many k's are really on it. after looking and playing with it all day i doubt it is that high, car was sitting in hock for 7 months never started and it kicked over fist shot no issue's

not to sure what im going to do with it yet i could resell it for a big profit or enjoy it with have to think on it

Looks like you got a good deal there, pretty good condition car for the price. Would be changing the door locks/ignition maybe, in cause the old owner sees it, and has spare keys...

I'd be giving it a service too, 7 months sitting there isn't good for the oils

does anyone know what is the go with the NL Cluster door lights, its flashes all the doors, i took the cluster out today to change the lights to bright L.E.D's and noticed there was a 4 pin socket at the back of the cluster is this for the door indicators?, would like to know if there is a easy way to hook them up, ie via the light switches in the door panel, any help thanks

decided im over the NL cluster as i had one in my EF for 2 years. so i pulled it out and put back in a EL fairmont one. i put ef white needles on it and i think it looks fair nice. also put white L.E.D's in the cluster
so if anyone wants a Nl cluster $50 its yours

Also took the EF intake off and put a Au one on it and gave the engine a clean.

Very nice pickup, what was that guy thinking pawning it? Lol

For $500 you can go to town a little on it, and still be in front ...lowered, rims, tint, centri blower, lol ...a nice bargain cruiser

i wanted to have a few bits of woodgrain in the mont but as we all know its really expensive.

i have a tube of wood vinyl and did a few bits on my bad a few months ago and it came up ok and is still looking good.

so i got to work on the EL just doing the radio surround for now.

as you can see in the pics i did not allow for enough to wrap around the inside of it, i might redo it after see how i feel.

but fairly happy with it for what it is
