not really when you feel like your chest is going to cave in, but they say what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger, so now its time to get back modifying the wagon and the fairmont

bit of an update time
firstly the ed more of the dual battery wiring has been getting done and i have decided to use a stinger 80 amp relay to isolate my rear battery. Attachment: stinger-80amp.jpg 2 12v accesort sockets have been installed in the back both flush mounted one is a normal type and the other is a hella type. Attachment: hella-socket.jpg Attachment: hella_plug.jpg the battery box i will be running is a calibre brand (supercheap brand) and it has external terminals and built in battery gauge 12v socket with circuit breaker, all good all round battery box. Attachment: battery box.jpg i am still yet to work out what battery i will be running in the rear cargo area but it will be around a 100 amp/hour sla deep cycle at the minimum i am putting in lighting in the cargo area the same as what benj has done, but mine will be switched and will be running of the rear battery also i have run a 4g cable from the battery to a 4g to 4 8g splitter that is mounted on the radiator support panel underneath the headlight and connected all the power accesories of that so there is not a whole heap of wiring mess near the battery i will put up photos soon mechanical wise the ed recieved a pair a ferodo zero brake pads on the front end cheers, bear You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

now for the fairmont
it recieved the following oil change and i used nulon 10W30 oil and a nulon engine treatment additive coolant change to nulon long life lukey performace cleanable filter and it has made a improvement to throttle response and induction noise Attachment: lukey-filter.jpg still to be fitted are the bosch platnium spark plugs fuel filter and possibly another oil change also for christmas the fairmont recieved a genuine rubber boot mat cheers, bear You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. |

the auto in the wagon is dead so this thread maybe comming to an end, cause if i dont get a auto before the 4th of next month the wagon will be going.

gearbox lost all gears and rego is due soon, so a suitable replacement will hopefully be founf soon enough.
still gotta work out what the replacement will be yet, all i know is that it will be an auto and most likely a wagon the mont could also be getting sold also, just dont know as of yet cheers, bear |

big update the wagon may be getting a manual.
in the next few days i will be picking up a ed manual sedan on gas and i am toying with the idea off putting the manual into the wagon, if not i may register the sedan and drive it around as it is on gas and looks nice and neat. no pics yet, will put up some when i get the sedan cheers, bear |

Cheers BenJ yeah i know i know LOL but this ed sedan is mint except for 2 tiny (smaller then a 5 cent coin)rust holes in the inner sills. but i did pay a deposit on a wagon tonight with end of june rego, look out for a new build thread, only thing is it's not a ford  and its NOT a holden  LOL so wagon could end up being fixed up properly with a manual gearbox or i may search for a better example of a e series ford wagon and manual that hehe cheers, bear |

well a bit of an update
The ED Wagon has definitely been sold and half of the sale price has already been paid off, The Fairmont hasn't recieved much attention accept for a oil change and nulon fast flowing 10W30 has been used once again with a bottle of nulon engine treatment additive added, dont know if it does much but at $10 who knows LOL. a replacement for the ed has been found, dont know if i will put up a thread about it as it's not a ford and NO it's not a holden cheers, bear |

hey guys and gals
haven't been around much of late been extremely busy. my old wagon i sold to my friend is about to be blueslipped and put back out on the road again, was a total pain changing the gearbox and it seems to have died due to heat related issues. my replacement daily which is a TS v6 magna wagon just got it's pink slip the other day and it is quite a good car and perfectly suited to my needs and for the $1200 purchace price with 4 months rego i can't complain. i am now off my red p's and on my green p's so i can finally drive a manual legally so i may end up getting around to doing something with the ed manual sedan. the bf fairmont is still around and not much has been done it, just mainly the maintenance stuff, but it may not be around for much longer as i am thinking of selling it and getting a 4wd of some description. cheers, bear |

well update time.....
The fairmont oil has been changed to nulon synthetic and the car seems to be reving easier fuel filter has been changed soon a new set of iridium plugs will be installed within 1500 kays The magna the following work and parts have been installed: bosch long life iridium plugs fuel and air filter rda front brake pads middle section of exhaust super pro lower control arm bushes nolathane sway bar bushes transmission service by central coast automatics but the magna is proving itself as a ideal daily vehicle i have been slowly obtaining parts for a stereo install in the magna parts obtained so far stinger twin foot 4 gauge earth mount SPT5213 vodoo distribution block 6m 4ga cable 25' black 1/2" black techflex 25' black 1/2" red techflex 3m 6 b&s cable stinger cable management clips 2 xscorpion midi anl fuse holders CMANL48P parts still to get vodoo distribution block heatshrink 0 gauge stinger twin ground foot SPT5212 soundquest battery terminals with one 0 gauge, one 4 gauge and two 8 gauge inputs/outputs redarc battery isolator 6 b&s terminals midi anl fuses still have to choose what size battery i will be installing in the cargo area the fairmont will be getting the big 3 done with 0 gauge wire and i am planning a stereo system for it thoughts and opinions always welcome |
