Small Update....

Although alot of people love the spoilerless look i might have one in a week or two... just doing a boot swap with jpsau, the spoiler is a fairly strange one... it looks very similar to the one with the triangle centre brake light but it has a long brakelight, its of a early S1 forte (no power windows :P)

- Tickford Wings
One went on the boot and the other on the ashtray
- Chrome Door Handles
- ED Shifter (needs to be shortened)
picked this up for $28 posted its angled right back toward the drivers seat so i dont have to lean forward to put it into first now
- New Aerpro Headunit Surround
its a great way to mount the headunit and looks factory. this replaced the factory pocket that look ok but did nothing in the way of mounting the headunit... looking at it in these photos i dont think the top is cliped in properly... didnt even notice lol...

Cheers Cam

did a boot swap today and now have a early S1 Rear spoiler and the earlier garnish above the rear number plate (which matches the bodykit) i pulled the series1 falcon badge off and will cover the 2 holes with a tickford badge... quick photo

yeah i love it... the biggest problem with AUs is mounting the headunit which this solves completely... my only problem is that i cant really use the CD player because the face cant fold down, but thats ok because i pretty much only use my ipod anyway

thats the plan at the moment lol... have to do a few things first... as you can see infront of the AU in the pic above i just had a huge tree cut down that was in the way of were i want to put a shed, then after the shed, the misses wants a new kitchen and then i get G6E rims and a full BA (hopfully BF) engine to go with the interior... so as you can see thats still at least 12 months away...

Cheers Cam

fixed up the above image and this is my little how to...

what iv done is obviously fitted a BA steering wheel...
the problems
1. With the BA airbag hooked up to the AU the airbag light flashes...
(im not to bothered because i plan to refit the BA dash but this time include engine and wiring which will fix this prob)
2. AU indicators and wiper stalks becaome quite a distance from the steering wheel
(i'v added pics below of how i fitted BA stalks to the AU steering column)
3. buttons dont work but i havnt tried (i dont have cruise and i have a alpine headunit so the volume control didnt work anyway)

Before
Image
After
Image
1. Removing your AU steering wheel (a heap of threads on how to do that are floating around)
Image
2. remove the clock spring by pressing in the 3 clips and sliding it forward (very gently and be careful not to rotate it)
Image
3. Remove two screws and that metal plate on the right you should now be able to pull the AU stalk out of the steering column be careful not to lose the two little ball bearings that come flying out, now fit your new BA indicator stalk and srew the metal plate back in
4 Remove the 3 screws that hold the plastic stalk housing onto the steering column slide it forword and the left stalk is pretty much the same as the right except the 2 screw are at the back not front and it pivots horizontally not vertically, you also have to cut the adjustable wipers wires (the only two running up the stalk if it is a sedan/ute) then reconnect them to the BA Stalk (wires are the same colour)
Image
5. once both BA stalks are fitted slide the housing back on, screw it in then gently slide the clock spring back on
6. Fit the BA steering Wheel
7. connecting the horn, wiring as pictured below (Black to Black, Grey to Purple
Image

Final Product
