Nah all good. The EFI cap would be the way to go I reckon then, if one was fitting it to a modern style engine that is.

Well the ESS conversion actually comes with the box and wheel too, also the shifter surround. All of which I have.
And the computer is to suit a V8, unfortunately mines only a six.. Also he wants $1100, with a buy it now of $2000. That's way too much for me.. I also realised a couple of days ago that the spare wheel from my utes tray is gone.. It's from a set of 5 snowflakes, I really don't remember taking it out either. I'll probably check on Tues how many there are in the garage. I just want to add that my ute now always starts on gas, and re-starts on gas if it stalls, it doesn't idle by itself when it's cold though. Again, most of the stuff I say is mainly a log of car stuff that happens, I'm sure people don't find it very interesting

Received the power steering pump for my DC today.
  Now I just have to arrange to borrow a pulley remover (if I can still borrow it that is) to get my old pump out, and get a pulley installer. But it's some progress

True, but I'm not sure if there's one in the nearby area that would have the tool? I would guess it's pretty common in garages though.
But it would be good to have the tool if it isn't much more than paying someone else to do it, plus fuel costs if I have to travel a bit.. I've decided to 'delete' the rear wiper on my AU too, I've never used it and I don't think it even works anyways  I've only ever driven sedans and my ute as daily's before, I doubt i could ever get used to the idea of a rear wiper not being more of a hatchback item I reckon it'll look good, and won't be too hard to do, plus I can fill and paint the two small holes from the Falcon badge too. I'm also going to install the old school silver shifter from the XD in my XF, I've been meaning to get the rest of the shifter from the garage when I've been up there..

Ah.. I was just going to use some filler on the badge holes, I wasn't too sure what I would do about the wiper hole, but I think your offer sounds like a winner idea
Over the next couple of days that I've got off I want to remove the wiper gear, and while the tailgate trim is off I'll be able to see how much working room there is. I don't want to go into it half @rsed and end up with a crap result I also can't wait to get my wagon on the street and my ute in the driveway, I want to swap the drivers FD seat in, give it a really good wash, remove some side mould tape/glue, spray the grill and bar body coloured. And then try and fix the rust and spray that too. I'm tired of my ute looking so bad

its not that bad ive seen worse. least its lowerd with decent wheels and youve gone to the trouble with the interior swap! we can cut bits out of the eb for rust repairs if you like?

I'm not sure there's much that would make a nice fit from an E series, thanks though.
I'm not trying to 'fix' all the rust, but make it look like it doesn't have any from the outside. There's too much structural rust to worry about spending too much time and money on it.
