Installed the TE50 wheel yesterday evening
 If I end up keeping it I'll either have the whole wheel dyed the airbag colour of the airbag dyed black. I was thinking about it and instead of messing around with ESS I might just give the 'new' woodgrain shifter the flick and go with SSS and a high end AU wheel.. Have to see what happens

The XD went to scrap yesterday, here's some pics of putting the diff back in to roll it around the front.
     And one of it being towed out   And taking the diff back out  And one of it sitting on the ground  And one of it on the back of the truck

Yeah I think it was the same guy, he also got the DA I wrecked too.
Yeah haha, I just thought I'd put it there is case the jack failed or whatever..

Thought I would dig this up again. I haven't had too much time spare lately..
Not too much has changed, I'm wrecking my ute as it ran out of rego and the 3mth period and riddled with rust. Picked up a DAII LTD that was cheap, going to spend a third day on it this weekend and finish it off. Done a few things to my AU, not all of them good though.. Been considering a daily car lately, I don't have the time, money or opportunity. Plus parts aren't common and reasonably priced in Tas.. But I do intend to make a couple of minor changes to my AU wagon. This is more for my benefit of keeping a log stuff that I do than anything else :p

XD VAN 82 and I tried to lower my AU a bit on Saturday, it didn't go too well.
I removed the right-hand side leaf from my XF the previous day, only removing one in case they didn't fit. We swapped the right-hand side leaf spring with the XF one without any trouble and they are virtually identical. So we went to grab the left-hand spring out of the XF, it ended up being held in by only the forward mount, the nut was undone but the bolt seemed to be jammed in there. Just like with both of the springs in the XD, bastards. We ended up removing the XF spring for the original AU one, which was pretty annoying as we had fully completed that side. Even more annoying was that it only dropped the rear end down a few centimetres.. I was also going to go and have a look at a 1973 XB wagon that was $1500 in this weeks paper. One month out of rego (doesn't need to be pit passed it Tas, just re-rego) "rust free" with a 250 on gas and 3spd manual column. It was blue but needed some new paint apparently but in good condition all-round. I could have had a fairly tidy XB wagon and repainted it over the weekends but missed looking at it because of screwing around with leaf springs. I've made some enquires for AU/BA wagon side skirts, but the only wrecker I haven't tried yet is the one that never seems to get back to you, ever.. It's now been two days and I've called them back about it once.. I've also noticed a 94 DCII V4 LTD for sale, 300 kays I think but highway. Full leather, DVD, lowered, tint etc. Bluey-silver but stillm it' a registered and tidy V8 and it's only $1700! It'll be cool to get rid of my AU and go buy that and get some Tassie rego.. The DAII went to scrap yesterday too, the LTD glass was unfortunately still in it but he said I can cut it out at a later date as it'll be sitting in his yard for a little while.
