Why won't the Xf be registered again if it goes out of the 3 month period? Because it will need a roadworthy?

My torry has been outta reg for about 5 years now, lol. When it's time for rego again, there will be no way it could fail, it will be like brand new again!

Cheers

Yeah the XD sounds good :D

'Cos it has too much rust, and a fair bit of non-standard stuff. I'm not sure if it needs to be 'reported' in Tas though.

I am fixing it, but I'd like to be able to drive it at the same time. It's only a cosmetic thing really.

I've just read on Ford australia forums after gooling that electric seats on the P6 were an option. Which also means the console won't have those cool seat controls on it either.

I also read that the P6 as standard should have an electric aerial and remote mirrors.

Does anyone happen to know what 'remote mirrors' mean?
The P6 has a knob on the inside of each door that adjusts it, is that the definition of remote mirrors, because they are adjustable from inside the vehicle?

I'm also curious how the electric aerial works, I couldn't spot any controls for it. I assume is isn't automatic up and down like the E-series, my XF (FE LTD) has two buttons that make the aerial go up and down..

EDIT
I was looking on Ebay and found some front seats fron a P6 monarch (red interior)

This pic shows the seat controls, they are the some as the ones in my FD console, two two-way switches and a 'joy stick' for each seat.

This photo shows the console controls, I have no idea what they're for? Both seats' controls are mounted on the individual seat and the master windows controls are on the drivers door..

I don't suppose anyone knows thier function? Might be better to post on Xfalcon..

EDIT, again..
After searching around I found out they're for the heater and duct contraols.. :P

You will probably find "remote mirrors" means they have a little joystick that is inside the car, wiggle it & it will adjust the mirrors. That's what remote mirrors were on the Statesman & luxary Kingswood car's in the 1970's.

Cheers

Your welcome dude.

I'd love a set to fit to my panel van, drivers side remote mirrors are fairly easy to come by, the passenger side remote mirror isn't so easy to come by.

Cheers

Yeah they are pretty cool to use.

Wow these are tempting:

The mirrors that are on the P6 are the chrome, I guess 'high-end' styled ones. They don't look as tough as the Falcon ones.

What model is your panel van?
There are some various remote mirrors on ebay:

Those ford mirrors are pretty cheap right now.

My van is a Hz, but i don't have any money atm to buy bits for it. Won't have for a little while. Doesn't matter tho, there is plenty of work to do to it with parts i have stockpiled, just need the time to do it.

Cheers

Hire a large van and caged box trailer, that should haul a good amount of cash.
