I have just bought today an AUIII XR6 in Silver. It isn't much to look at yet but it will be. I have my 18" wheels to add and of course this one will get the BEEEG BRAKES that I had intended for Lucifa.
Haven't thought of a name for the beast yet but I will. Here are a few pics.

Just got to get the bugger rego'd and fix a couple of things first. Hopefully I can this Friday if not, next Friday for sure. :)

I will tell you when I see you why Lucifa has been cancelled. I still have it but I will be selling it.

I bought 2 new Tickford badges today for the front guards, the old ones someone had tried to remove and snapped them. :( Since I got the little devil I have taken off the throttle body and the ISC valve and cleaned them, I had to change the plugs, fuel filter and 1 spark plug lead.
I removed the air inlet off Lucifa and put it on Silver plus the snorkel.

It sure felt funny to actually PAY almost full price for them. :)

And a hefty price it probably was too . . .

They seem to weather better than the older XR badges themselves.

I am whining a bit, I still got mates rates. :)

These are lacquered where the others are just painted. The only thing that gets me is that the XR and 6 badge are silver and not black. :)

Yeah True - don't recollect ever seeing red AU XR6 badges - only XR8.

My XR6 series I has red badges on it. The BA's were the first to not have red, just chrome on the 6cyls and red on the V8.

I have done a few addons:

And a few pics of what the bonnet looks like so far. It doesn't look as bad as the same trouble with a black bonnet:

The NEW XR is coming along slowly, I went to take off the N/S/F upper control arm and someone had tried before and rounded off one of the nuts so, I did two jobs, 1. in taking off the Inlet Manifold and getting the nut off with a chisel and 2. cleaning out the Injector Manifold and changing the filters and seals of the Injectors. Just as well I did as I was able to undo most of the Manifold bolts by finger.. :( I also put a new coil and leads on. :)

I am going to add the Front brakes this week and the rears a few weeks later, the rear is a much harder job. There WILL be picks. :)

Good to see some action happening George. Look forward to the development of this one.

Thanks fellas, I did some work on Sunday and put Silva's front end back together. I added the front brakes and am going to do the rears very soon.

I have FINALLY put my Wheels on the NEW beast and they look VERY good, still have to change the rear springs but I will soon. :)
