Future for street driving you'd want a cam that gives you good low to mid range torque and power I'd say.

Impressive numbers out of an NA 6, that's for sure. Well done. Looking forward to seeing her back together and some numbers from the strip. Dyno figures are one thing, but the real figures come from the black top.

Was the valve that went visiting the other cylinders in 1 piece or broken up. I am trying to work out how the hell it got into the other 2 cylinders. Got me baffled!

The biggest I would go with out head work is stage 4 atomic or duration around 210@50.. 3500rpm plus power range isn't a very good street cam hahaha 1500rpm up is more of a street cam..

Cheers scaffy.. Yer main reason I did all this work was for a power figure reading to start off with.. Wanted to get highest hp n/a xr6 in oz.. As far as I know the only other high hp is 228rwkw.. But now that's done I'm trying to get it set up as good as I can for strip without go over board as it's still my daily.. Low 13 street trim is my aim

Just a thought, but if the valve train was stuck with exhaust valves open on cyl 5, broken valve from cyl 6 made it out through the exhaust port on cyl 6 and into the headers, on the intake stroke of cyl 5, it could of sucked the broken valve peice back up through the Cyl 5 header runner into the combustion chamber through the stuck open exhaust valve.

Just a thought, but it's all I can come up with......

Yer il have to double check but i didn't see it with head off as I live 3 hrs away.. But pretty sure the stem of valve ended up in inlet Mani and head in cylinder 5.. Well if you look at damage to pistons Somthing had to be rattling around in there

Advertised Exhaust duration 257°
Inlet duration at .050” lift 203°
Exhaust duration at .050” lift 196°

Valve lift - inlet and exhaust .455”
Lobe centres 112° - Computer controlled

ahh so hard to explain of the net hahaha but after seeing these camshafts in a ute this wknd i would say the best street useable cam out there.. The power range of the camshaft is perfect. About 1800-2000rpm all the way till 6500rpm(revlimiter) so the power doesnt drop off.. I would buy these for a daily driver!

also quick update on my car.. got a few things coming. Atomic are doing another head up free of charge. this time we arnt going to shave the head. Instead ill be running some custom forged over sived pistons from ROSS in the usa with scat rods. We also be running some more compression to try and squeeze abit more out of it.. Atomic vernier cam gears will also replace the VCT so we dont have another failure there..

Atomic billet oil pump also being installed.. Then bring on some NOS hahaha..
