Hey guys,

This is a car my father and a mate built a few years ago in Brisbane. They bought the front end complete from Ford (mega bucks) then decided to cut the front end into 3 sections to get it to work out properly.

I dont have much to do with my old man anymore so i dont know anymore about this vehicle, apart from that its still getting around Brisbane.

Just thought i would post it up as it was done in 96 or 97 and is unique (at least it is to me)

Wow, certainly is unique! Could have done with some skirts and a rear bar of sorts, just needs something to go with the lipped up front end.

looks like a good quality build... love the colour of green too... Like krisisdog said
needs something on the sides and rear to match the lip, looks too front heavy
as is....

I think there was plans to finish the kit off but never got around to it- cos the xr kits were brand new at the time they spent a s**t on the front end then i think they decided that enuf had been spent and they would finish the rest as an ongoing project- but nothing ever came from it.

I was considering the same mod back in the 90's, including mirror on my V8 XE. But found the round front doesn't suit the box rear.

seen a photos of this years ago..
certainly an eye opener.

i seen an XE or something sedan a few months ago with the same front on it.
again, very weird seeing the curves on such a straight edge shape.

Yeah I think it showed up on FM1 many moons ago. Interesting fitting of the Tickford lip spoiler never seen one fitted so it hangs off the front bumper like that before.
