hi all
i am looking to buy a cheap ef / el falcon or fairmon sedan. it must have a straight body, good paint, minimal scratches and average interior. im not worried about the engine condition or anything else just the body because i already have an ef but the body is nt very good.. so if anyone has an ef / el falcon or fairmont with a blown head gasket or mechanical problems etc, which they would like to get rid of cheap pm me also preferably in the illawarra area cheers

nothin its fine! i just want a falcon that has a good body and paint cause mines a bit dinted and scratched lol

yer but i wouldnt have a clue how to panel beat or spray a car lol and i havnt got a spray gun or compressor and the spray job would probably look worse than it is now!!!

mmm thats a good idea while im at it ill put on a fairmont front end.. cheers mate ill have a look into resprayin my car =)

ef_falcon_95 wrote: mmm thats a good idea while im at it ill put on a fairmont front end.. cheers mate ill have a look into resprayin my car =) you can pick up a compresor from bunnings for 100 but i would recommend getting an inline air filter and drier to protect your spray gun if u get one and to ensure no water gets onto your work, if it f**k up you can sand back and try again, just read up a bit give it a shot it isnt actually as hard as what everyone makes out it is.

hey I don't know how well a $100 bunnings compressor will be for spraying, I think he'll have to consider something a little better.

cmon guys someone out there must have an ef el with a straight body and good paint which they are goin to wreck but would consider to sell whole or sonething !!!!

yer thanks mate ive looked on ebay like all the time found some bargins but as you mentioned id need to travel they were in qld and sa wish they were closer !!

yer im sure ill find one somewhere, my mate brought a mint ef falcon with a blown motor for $300 he was gonna get it goin but wasnt bothered and ended up pullling it apart and was gonna wreck it but that never happened so he gave it to the wreckers. wish i brought it, he wasted a good body

Hey mate, were you looking for a sedan only ? I've got an EF Futura wagon (white) with a pretty good body and paint....just seized the engine ! haven't cancelled the rego yet either ...if that's an issue. Let me know otherwise I'll wreck it for parts. Located in Blacktown (Syd western suburbs) so may be further away than you want to go anyway. Cheers...Steve.
