I'd imagine the differences between factory fitted vents and the sequential scoops to be mounting...the ebay ad states their product needs to be glued / siliconed to the bonnet...I *guess* you could glue the scoop in place of the vent, making use of the tabs on the bonnet.

In the pic that KWIKXR posted up - does anyone know if the airbox lid is anything special ? ie does it rise more than a standard one to meet the bonnet for a better (read: direct) path for air to enter the airbox lid ? Obviously it has a hole cut in it, and I know I have seen some with a rubber lip around it - to seal against the bonnet when closed (I'd presume?).

If only we could get our old mate RADEK to come out of retirement or something for us :)

Gee that is a fair bit out aye, its not even close to being a good fit. That sucks to hear that man, the guy selling them on ebay sounds like a bit of a d***head. Lucky you posted this though shoey, i was almost about to get one off that guy on ebay just incase i ever end up with an XR, always liked that scoop ever since i first saw it :x

I wish that Radek fella who was making them would come back from the dead and make a few more of these scoops up with matching airbox lids for the fellow fordmodders, seems like he had a good market when he was making them and still sounds like there is a fair few people interested in these items

I agree - they're suitable for both I6 and V8s...huge market potential IMO !

i too recently bought one of those crap $40 ones off ebay, only too find out that it didnt fit properly. Trying too find the good earlier ones is gonna be near impossible as there are not made anymore, so wat im doing is fixing up the ebay one by applying putty where is needed, my mate is a spraypainter and his gonna make sure it fits nice, will post pics when its done. hopefully will come good but just gonna take a lot of time.
