yeah u _should_ disconnect the battery and come back in ten minutes.
that said i unbolted it then unplugged it. no real problem.

when i did a mates i just took out the airbag fuse then unscrewed it.

thanks ill just unplug the battery and unplug the airbag then just undo it. cheers. =D

lol a mate about 10 yrs ago pulled the steering wheel off his xe and broke his nose...... He didnt kno the trick of leaving the nut on ::P
