Location: Gold Coast Queensland

My names Jase and i am a very proud owner of my second EL XR6 Tickford, I first found my car on car sales.com advertised for $4500.00 stock with Full tickford EL XR body kit including front and rear apron and side skirts, boot wing and with EF XR6 wheels.

The car had 204,000km's on the clock but best part was its a manual! and the condition and colour is exactly as my first 98 EL XR6 so found it hard to pass it up but had to sell my 2002 AU XR6 VCT to buy it which i was happy to do.

I have a few mods listed for my EL but some are more affordable than others at this stage but all will be done hopefully some time down the track,

Mods inc.

Exterior:
Full respray in same Red
Lowered front and rear
19" Dark Argent (Silver) wheels
Tinted windows
Remove boot wing
EF tail lights tinted
de-badged all over
BA BOSS XR8 Bonnet bulge

Interior:
BA Leather seats front and rear
Black floor carpet
RED LED's in dash cluster, clock and air-con unit
red door cards insert
Sony cd/ipod/aux headunit with red backlights

Engine and Gearbox:
BA XR6 Turbo or AU XR6 VCT replacement engine
2.5" exhaust
engine bay detailed
Short Shifter
Re-Enforced firewall around clutch cable

My aim is basically to have a clean looking e-series thats tastefully modified with only post and pre EL mods. I'll keep things up to date on here and post pics to check out. Also after anyones opinion on the build and recommendations ect.

I've gotta say man, that thing is gorgeous! Looks nice and neat inside, and the red cluster w/ LCD screens looks beast as, suits it perfectly. Look forward to seeing what else you do with it

Cheers guys, yeah she is a beautiful car to drive and look at haha! I always been more of an E-series man and being a manual with everything factory fitted such as the body kit ect it was hard to pass up. My AU VCT was a good strong motor but being an Auto didnt really get to use it to its potential so when i found this one for sale the choice was pretty easy, lol.

Next thing planned are the 19" Dark Argent wheels, Getting them from www.fwt.com.au http://www.fwt.net.au/products.asp?index=Ford. Price is pretty good and they would look ace on my EL i think, always liked red cars with silver alloy colour rims.

To some extent yeah, i drove my AU from Adelaide to Brisbane in 3 days so got to get a good feel for how it drove and performed but like i said it was an auto and im more E-series guy. Dynamics aside the motor in the AU was great and performed beautifully and am looking to find another XR6 VCT to put into my EL then id be getting best of both series lol

That DEVEL xr6 is one of the best E-series falcons ive seen! http://www.boostedfalcon.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3809 i have followed that build thread from start to finish and is the main reason i am building my EL XR, i wanted to do everything to myn that Markr154 has done to his,

The BA Turbo transplant looks so factory and also sounded like a real headache to compleate but id still like to try it, Quick question is what gearbox ect he's using cause from memory AU Onward gearboxes the gear stick sits a few inches further back which means the gearstick ends up where the cup holder is in the centre console?? correct me if im wrong i may have missed that part of the build.

Awwwww, you're too kind  lol

Nah, I'm running my standard original EL T5 gearbox, through an AU bellhousing, with a cushion button clutch ...all holding up fine so far, but it's also how you drive it, and the tune obviously helps too.

I just wanted a nice refined street car with nothing over-the-top and obvious, just a neat package that could *should* have come from factory ...with the ability to surprise the pants off people when needed, lol

The demise of my marriage actually put me in the position to do this, but after some REAL dark times, it's all worked out for the best.

There's a thread on here about mine, just click the link in my signature below.

Good luck with the plans mate ...you've got a sweet car there, and it'll only get better!!

Just noticed, what's that steering wheel you've got on there ...it's wicked, and I want one!

Im not too sure if its an AU XR or not but best i can think of is its the original Momo from factory, its been wrapped in new leather with red stitching but its starting to show its age unfortunately,
