who's had success with the megasquirt II standalone system on e series?
or is getting the standard ecu modified a better option

opinions?

ive got one in my 5L not running standalone tho due to the auto.

there is a few floating around that are running standalone, all manuals to my knowledge.
im not sure if anyone has suceeded in getting a coilpack car to run on one as yet.

In short, no. You're best to retain your factory ECU in parallel to look after your auto and climate control functions.

The MS (or any other aftermarket ECU for that matter) will look after fuel and spark.

while im not 100% on if they got it going, EFFalcon had a megajolt (ignition only ms1) for his EF (suprise).. all you need to do is pickup the EDIS6 module and its got options for it.

Only thing is the edis6 modules aren't used in australia due to it being integrated into the EEC (or its made redundant in our eec's)
