Sounds great adrian - two heads surely better than one. As mentioned - im looking to get involved in MS in the 2nd half of this year... hopefully get a prebuilt MSII from uncle - soldering PCB sounds scary, too easy to destroy the board, lol. Im fairly confident in frankensteining my own loom etc, just need the unit.
I can get my mitts on baseline maps for stock 5.0L HO engines (but wouldnt mind having a go from scratch), not sure about 351c... will ask around the stang forums... obviously ive got a bit of work to do tuning with the supercharger & FMU and maybe set my water injection up with MS (currently just boost activated @ 3psi)... but looking forward to that bit 
Might be able to recoup some costs selling the 73mm MAF as well...

Heh, I emailed him 15 minutes ago asking just that so I'll let you know what I hear back  I emailed Glen a few months back to get prices and shipping for different numbers of orders and I think it's probably worthwhile to get it all from him if you're going to do it yourself. Like you mentioned though uncle once you start ordering a few together the savings in postage are probably negated by GST or any customs fees you may be hit with.

Martin, how about you order the kit when your ready and I'll assemble it for you in exchange for your MAF ???? When the MSII and V3 PCB are ready I'll be ordering them for myself too. If you want I can order two sets. As for my VE table for the 351C, I already have a base one to begin with. The most fun part is going to be the driving around with the laptop tuning it. I can't wait.

Been there and done that in the last couple of weeks... LOTS of fun, and lots of learning (not to mention black smoke, misfiring, stalling and pinging  )

Uncle, when I go MSII I want the V3 board aswell so I'll get a whole new kit anyway. My old MSI, at that time, will be given to my brother.

Will the MSII kits released in July/August automatically be on V3 boards ?
I thought V3 was a little bit off yet, altho I suppose we're still a few months off...

Sounds like a great deal Adrian. Count me in. The MAF's gonna be useless to me with MS. I've got a range of sampling tubes as well - to suit 19lb, 30lb and 38lb injectors (uses stock hotwire)...

I just heard back from Glen @ Glens garage and the MSII's will fit in the cases supplied with his kits.

I've just looked at the V2.2 PCB layout and there are around 300 solders.
So, at 1 minute per solder, and that includes the time to rummage through your parts to find the component you're after, it will take 5hrs. I personally think that that is a very fast pace and it would probably be more like 2 mins if you're quick. Once you've done a few you could probably get it down to 5 hrs. Now, that doesn't include for any testing, or mounting in the case, or making up your DB-37 plug and lead. I just thought I'd post that so that people knew how much time they're up for to solder one together, or how much time they're paying for to get someone else to solder one up. |

Yeah that's fairly consistent with the estimates given on the site... considering the instructions have you test each section of the unit as you go... i think 5 hrs is a very agressive estimate... double it maybe?

TwEECer is overkill for just controlling spark, plus it will enable me to drop the MAF, which saves me a few $$ in buying a 75mm MAF.

At an hourly rate of $13.00 for a junior electronics technician.
